We often hear anecdotally that people in Cambourne are suffering from poor, or low speed broadband. We invited a company specialising in wireless broadband to discuss possibilities for Cambourne, and we may well invite another wireless broadband provider to discuss possibilities. We would really like to hear from you if you are suffering from poor or low broadband speeds. To do this we are trying to compile a map to help us understand if there are particular problems areas, and what kind of speeds people are getting.
Please could you drop us and email and let us know your address and postcode, and the broadband speed you are getting (if you don’t know what speed you get then download Speedtest from your app store, hit GO, and let us know your download speed), additionally your broadband provider name would be useful but not essential.
We will not pass on any personal information to any third party, but we will share an anonymised map showing approximate speeds across Cambourne, so we can discuss further the viability. If there is enough interest, and it looks technically viable, we will set up a public event in conjunction with the wireless provider to discuss how they work with local communities and typical costs and speeds.
